a week ago tomorrow

A week ago tomorrow was an awesome day!

I woke up early and prepped myself for the long day ahead. I showered. I blew my hair dry…all fluffy and full (it’d been awhile). I packed three bags.

In the first, my clothes for S Factor. Comfy pants, shorts, knee pads, tank top, iPod.

In the second, my makeshift halloween costume. Shortish skirt, black tank top, big ol’ spider for my hair, spiderweb tights, knee high black boots.

In the third, audition outfit. Tight black pants, black v-neck shirt, blue jean jacket, eyeglasses (role=attractively bookish young woman who does research in a museum who gets killed after 2 lines and a blood curdling scream).

Arrive at S Factor at 8am. Class for 3 hours.

Change clothes in bathroom. Makeup. Drive to audition.

Arrive at the audition and kick it’s ass enough to get called back to the Producers session. (another small step for this actress)

Freak out in the car and call a bunch of people to tell them about it.

Go out to my weekly Friday lunch at “Toast”, the most yummy of all yum, with work friends.

Back to work. For some working, of course.

Return to the TV studio for my Producers session. And kick ass again, I think.

Go back to S Factor. Change back into S Factor clothes. Co-teach for two hours.

Go to Natalie’s house. Change into Halloween costume

Go to the “Rockstar” party in the Hollywood Hills. (You know the energy drink that isn’t Red Bull?)

Watch all the Hollywood types get drunk. Laugh at how little clothing people are wearing. (Was there a contest I didn’t know about?)

Notice there is a pole installed. Do some pole tricks. And teach some to others.

Get a little digusted and a lot bored. So I leave.

The best part of the day? Yep. You guessed it. Killing the audition! And even though I didn’t get the part, the casting director (a toughie) liked me enough to call me in for producers. It’s only a matter of time before someone says, “She’s our girl”. And now I’m even one step closer.
