A friend from college, my ‘lil Aimee, is in Uganda. And she is keeping a blog of her journey. I sat down today and read all of her posts so far and it was so beautiful and humbling! Aimee is seeing the world in a whole different way, a way that many Americans will never even think to experience.
Aimee, though, has always craved these kinds of experiences. And she experiences things fully ~ she’s present, she’s loving, she’s open, she listens and she’s so smart!
If you are interested in keeping up with her journey as well, you can visit the link on the sidebar entitled “Aimee O.”, but I wanted to share a story that I read this morning and has stayed in my heart all day.
First, you must read Rich In Name.
And then Rich In Name, part II.
Isn’t that the most beautiful thing? It is the perfect description of my most cherished friend.
I don’t know you Ali, but thank you for sharing your friends journal entries. I even posted a comment to her because I was really touched by the rich in name story. What a wonderful way to connect and share with people.
Very inspiring.
