For the first time in 2 years, I have 2 days off in a row. And what’s even better, is that they are Saturday and Sunday, like most of the rest of the world.

Last weekend was my first real weekend and I was in heaven.

Saturday, I did 6 loads of laundry and then watched a movie while I folded it all (it really took me almost 2 hours to fold, that’s how much laundry I did). Then I went to dinner, drank one beer (ok two, but I was already silly after one) with a huge meal and was totally tipsy. After one beer!

Sunday, R and I took the Metro downtown to [URL=http://www.olvera-street.com/html/olvera_street.html]Olvera Street[/url], which is reminiscent of Old Mexico. We met his sister and her fiance and his brother and his girlfriend and enjoyed some good ol’ Mexican food and pitchers of Margaritas. Again, a little silly.

In the words of [URL=http://www.google.com/musics?lid=LDI6ihn6EqG&aid=wDd15lOSBqN&sid=cbmLuLD9inB&sa=X&oi=music&ct=result]J-Kwon[/url], “Gettin’ tipsy” is not my plan for every weekend, but I have to admit, it was rather fun…and silly.

I am looking forward to this weekend, with a plan to hike the trail at [URL=http://www.runyon-canyon.com/]Runyon Canyon[/url], perhaps take a swim in my pool if it’s not too cold, definitely sit in the hot tub and hopefully see a movie or go out for a fun dinner with friends…
