I’ve been thinking about how badly I would like to do a play and it seems the universe has been hearing my thoughts. And now the rest is up to me…

Shazaaam!

on tuesday…

comtradg This week I am finally doing something I’ve been promising myself for a long time. I am going to meet with an acting teacher about joining his scene study class.

I am excited and nervous that he might ask me to do a monologue, or read a scene with him or something.

But it’s good. It’s what I need. No focus on the business. Just an opportunity to act once a week. And soon, RJ & I hope to produce a play together…

clearing my head

When I first arrived in Houston I received a call from my long lost agents. I sincerely thought I’d been dropped after the last conversation I had with the office (um, over 6 months ago). I had given up on them and figured I woudl just look for a new one when I decided to allow my actress self to come out of hiding and brave the streets of LA once more…And just when I had been toying with the idea of getting myself into an acting class again (after 3.5 years), this little window of opportunity creeks open, blows the artist wind past my cheeks and stirs the passion from it’s deep, dark slumber.

Now, let’s not get hasty. I said she’s stirring. I didn’t say she was fully awake just yet.

If I decide to try this whole actor thing again, it’s gonna be for me. For my joy and my curiosity. I can’t do it for ‘you’ anymore, ’cause I figured out that that won’t work.

After all, didn’t I fall in love with it ’cause it used to be fun!?

And speaking of fun…click here to watch the spec commercial R co-wrote, directed and shot in one afternoon using one camera, 2 guys, 2 actresses and fading light. Um, hello!
(turn the volume up, it hasn’t been mixed yet. this is a working version)

don’t blink or you’ll miss me

Tuesday night, on the FX channel, I will on Nip/Tuck (10pm in LA, but check your listings).

I am playing a stripper in the background. I don’t have lines and I’m not part of the story, I’m just on a pole in the background shot when the guys first walk into the club. (I’m wearing black “lack-of-clothes” and black boots. I can’t gaurantee you’ll see me, but I was there.

Tune in and see if you can spot me.
Fun, fun.

And that’s all for now…
