it got me

It’s been creeping up on me for about 2 weeks, actually, but I was considering myself lucky to keep it at bay. It got most everyone at work, but I was still able to avoid contact with it. But then, R was attacked and well, we don’t generally avoid contact (although we did stay away for a few days), so last night, at around 3:30am, it got me.

I’m sick. Sick on Sunday. Drat!

But perhaps the common cold will justify working 1/2 day tomorrow today?
There’s the silver lining.

published photographer

Last April, as you may remember, I spent a month in Houston. One evening during his visit, R & I went for BBQ at the famous ‘Goode Company’. And it was good.

Well, here we are almost a year later and the picture I took of the sign has now been “published”. They found it on flickr.com and put it in the Schmap Guide to Houston.

Check it out right here

So, that’s kind of cool, huh? I keep saying, you should sign up for flickr too because you can share photos in an easier, cooler way than many of the other online photo sharing sites. That’s just my humble, selfish opinion. But I mean, hey, you could get one of your photos published, too!
(notice I’ve given you three opportunities to click on the link and join the picture party)

Over the weekend there were two birthdays celebrated. My Dad turned 67 and my dear friend, Amanda turned 30!

I would share photos but I left my camera at the 30th celebration. Until it arrives in the mail (it was in Orange County, ok?!) I shall be pictureless.

But both birthdays were fun and joyful and celebrated over good food.

Oh – and I got a new sideboard for the dining area. I am in love. See? A picture here would also be helpful. *sigh*

I mean seriously, you might take part in a history making election.

That is all I have to say today…

brain This book is the newest addition to the teacher training program at work. I highly recommend it to all my female friends especially. It will make you feel a little less…how shall I say…crazy. You dudes, too, might actually like it and learn something about the way we women think and behave according to our science…

Pick it up – easy, interesting read!
*have I already suggested this?
