I am back in my bedroom! While there is still work to be done (carpet installation), I decided yesterday to go ahead and move my bed and other stuff back in there.
I put my rug down for my toes and a couple of towels next to the bed so the concrete floor doesn’t shock my feet…
~~~
I still have no hall closet so my coats and dress-up clothes are still hanging on the temporary clothing rack, but at least it’s out of my living room…
I can’t wait for the carpet to be installed. I chose eco-friendly carpet made from recyclable materials. How Green am I?
There has been a lot of change going on in my life over the last several months and during this time of evaluating and re-evaluating, I came to realize that I no longer identify with the name “ali taylor”. I took this alias during my professional acting days and since turning my acting life back into a cherished hobby, I really prefer my given name. So, why bring it up?
I will no longer have alitaylor.com…
But, I do not intend to stop blogging. I have purchased the rights to a new domain name:
Right now, if you go to this spot on the web there is a placeholder, but I hope that soon it will be my new web-blogging home. Once the change is finished I will let you know…
I am finally getting around to adding some holiday photos…and some other things.
I did most of my shopping on December 23rd when the sky in Santa Monica was so beautiful I had to photograph it…
I worked on Christmas Eve day and December 26th, but I was still able to jump on plane for a short visit with my family. I enjoyed a mellow Christmas morning with my parents and then we had a sweet dinner at my Aunt Carole’s house, where everyone wore fun paper crowns. Here I am with my Grandma who was being particularly cute…
Upon my return R and I went to Akasha’s birthday {R’s brother Casey’s girlfriend} at the bowling alley! I heart bowling so much and it turns out despite unusual style, I am not that bad…
Akasha did a birthday bowling dance and thought I was taking a picture when I was really making a video…notice her start to wonder what’s happening.
We had a ton of good old fashioned fun…
We also spent New Year’s Eve with Casey & Akasha, but unfortunately I forgot to take snapshots of our chilled out celebration over pizza and cocktails.
All in all, it was a great couple of weeks of holiday celebration!
Happy New Year!
Aloha! I returned last night from Hawaii and I am still allowing the experience to sink in so as not to lose the beauty of the place and to get lost in the holiday shuffle. More anon, but in the meantime, this pretty much sums it up until I can find the proper words…
