43 weeks old!

Besides this fabric being my favorite one yet, can you get over this look over the shoulder pose? I can’t stand it, I think it’s so cute. I swear, this child of ours is hilarious and he doesn’t even know it yet.

Jack continues to be a total charmer. He is an active little guy who gets bored easily. He is quick to inspect whatever lands in front of him and does his best to figure it out. I love Jack’s enthusiasm for life and love of interactive play…

pick me up!

Shine on, sweet boy!

42 weeks old!

As you can see, Jack LOVES the sand! This week we were in Puerto Vallarta. It was such fun to watch Jack get down and dirty on the beach. He loved every second if it…

Jack really blossomed on this trip! He discovered so many things and enjoyed talking with anyone who would listen. He now says:
Buh (Bye) with a little wave
Dada
Mama
Huh (Hi)
Heh (Hey)

The last two he says with such enthusiasm. The ‘heh’ is elongated like heeeeeyyy. It cracks us and everyone else up!

Jack slept amazingly well during our trip. Two easy 90 minute naps every day at about the same time and easy bedtimes. We briefly considered moving to Mexico. Jack also enjoyed trying some new solid foods, although most of it was sand. And he popped his first top tooth…

He is definitely an outdoor boy.

40 weeks old!

Jack celebrated his first Halloween dressed as a pumpkin! Or, for my friends who enjoy puns, he was a Jack ‘o lantern…

Jack 'o Lantern - first Halloween

We didn’t take him trick or treating because he has an early bedtime and was already getting sleepy when I got home from work…

I dressed up (kind of) and we all went to Jack’s daycare where they had a small party for the kids. Jack was quite tired, so he didn’t last long before we came home…

Happy Halloween!

Our house, being on a corner, is a busy trick or treat destination – we handed out candy to the first wave of younger kids and ran out before the teenagers arrived. We had to turn off our light, which made us feel like party poopers, but we’ll know next year to get our candy at costco.

Jack gets more and more active every week – this week’s photo shoot was the most challenging yet, but I got the shot above with grandpa’s help…

We love our silly monkey.

jack: thirty-nine weeks old

Once again, I have let myself get very behind in the weekly blog updates. I am about to play catch up, so get excited.

Here is Jack at 39 weeks old…

39 weeks old!

Isn’t he a good helper? The vacuum is one of his favorite things in the house!

This was the week when Jack and I were both getting over having been sick and I geared up to go on my first work trip for 5 nights.

Jack really likes to be involved in everything! Here he is playing with his books, which he likes to pull of the shelf…

Jack gets into the books

On the day I left, Jack hung out with his grandparents and sent me this cute photo…

when mommy's away, jack plays with grandparents!

The first 2 nights being away were the hardest.
