I haven’t posted any music lists here in a long, long time…

So, I’m turning Thursday Random Shuffle into Sunday Funday Music Mix
If you were not a reader last year, here’s how it works:

I will press shuffle on my aliPod and report on the first 10 songs that play; No skipping or apologizing (and it’s hard sometimes not to blush). Perhaps you can be reminded of a favorite or find a new favorite. Or maybe you’ll just laugh at my taste in music, which is quite possible…

Thoughts on this mix: A little funny. It started of so well and felt summery and free, but then, Spitfire came on and ruined it. It got back to some free, easy music and then, my man, Snoop came into the mix and stirred it up again. Weird. Just weird.

Today’s Favorite Song: Summer Breeze (And I liked it before it was in a Gap commercial)

Emotional Response: It’s was a little hectic…and disconcerting.

Thoughts on this mix: I have no complaints about this mix. It was so refreshing because I don’t use any of these songs in my classes. A little folk, a little country, a little rock, a little R&B, a little Pop and a little Madonna.

Today’s favorite songs: A Case Of You & Orange Crush Two totally different Genres, which is why I can’t choose one over the other. It was really hard for me to narrow this down today…

Today’s least favorite song: By Your Side I always think I like Sade, but then I always have the strongest urge to skip over these songs.

It’s been weeks since I’ve sat down with myself and listened to music. Between rehearsing & opening a show, teaching, working, having out of town visitors and being in escrow, I’ve had no time for anything else.

BUT, I did buy a new aliPod (’cause the old mini aliPod went kaput!)

Thoughts on this mix: This was exactly the kind of mellow I was hoping for (ok, with the exception of Usher). It was soulful and light, ’til the end when I was rejuventated and ready to stand up and shake it.

Today’s favorite song: Prayer by Leela James, just ’cause her voice is so deliciously beautiful.

Today’s least favorite song: Crazy For You by Madonna, but just ’cause I’m over it.

Thoughts on this mix: Hmmm. Well, I like all of these songs. And a couple of them had me singing along. But it’s a weird mix of genres ~ there was no flow.

Today’s Favorite Song: When You Say Nothing At All
I heart this song so much. I still remember where I was the first time I heard it eleven years ago. It was a on my roommate’s mix tape and I rewound it 3 times to hear it over and over. I think it’s the sweetest love song ever. (And it was my friend Erica’s first dance at her wedding).

Today’s Least Favorite Song: Battle Without Honor or Humanity
Awesome song for S Factor. Not an awesome song right into your ears.
