While I like all of these song individually, I was not a fan of them all together. This one is a little too eclectic. Because of my broad music tastes, I fear this will happen quite often…
A lot of times, songs that work in my “S” classes don’t work straight from the aliPod to my ears.

Today’s favorite songs: Winding Road and Mariposa Traicionera (both of these are good songs to start your day with)

Today’s least favorite song: Cold & Intimate (this artist was given to me by one of my students and I’ve never quite taken to it ~ time to purge the aliPod of most of Nitin Sawhney)

Emotional response: I was relieved that this shuffle ended with such a sweet, Spanish song. I was feeling a little anxious after the other songs. This mix had a heavier feel and it was too early for that.

This is the first installment of what is now to be known as “thursday random shuffle”. This has been blantantly (although with permission) stolen from my friend Robert’s site, who saves his until Friday. (Yes, I realize today is Friday, but I’m a day late, ok!?)

Today’s least favorite song: Lucky (and not just ’cause I’m embarrassed.)

Emotional response: This mix had a wistful feel. All of these songs actually take me back to different times from my past. It’s amazing how music lives in our muscles and recalls such specific memories.
