My sweet friend Saba remembered that I was dying to see the movie ‘In Good Company’, so when she and her boyfriend, Neil, made plans to see it tonight, she called me up and invited me along. Despite the fact that they live quite a jaunt away and I was feeling sleepy, I jumped in the car an drove to Burbank. I’m so glad I did — I was happy to have company to see it with.

Well, I highly recommend this film. The performances are wonderful, especially from Dennis Quaid and Topher Grace (cute, cute, cute). Nuanced, layered, thoughtful, funny and touching. It’s a feel good movie with a message to corporate America, and an ending that doesn’t tie up in a little bow (thank goodness). In real life, the guy doesn’t always get the girl (or the girl, the guy, for that matter, huh?).

Go see it…in your own good company.
