Moms are amazing! And I think mine is especially wonderful.
It’s funny how, no matter how old I get, I can still benefit greatly from a visit from my Mom. She arrived last Wednesday, finding me looking tired with no food in the fridge, my apartment less than pristine (not too messy, but not up to Mom standards) and my skin in upheavel over my eating habits. She stepped in and now I have an organized desk, a clean stovetop, a full fridge, a bleached bathtub, super-duper-clean floors, beauteous flowers on my mini-deck, blooming roses in my building’s side yard complete with written instructions for watering, two new gorgeous pictures on my kitchen walls and I’ve been soda and fast-food free for 10 days!
She was going to stay for only 4 days, but almost 8 days went by before she entertained the idea of leaving. When she drove off for home my throat swelled and I almost burst into tears. She came, she healed, she loved, we laughed, we cried, we danced and we are closer than ever…
Thank you, Momimo!
hi…
how much longer are you going to stay in L.A.?
It gets easier here everyday. And I’m making friends. And I love my job. I never thought I’d say that if it wasn’t acting, so perhaps I’m actually beginning to build a life here.
But we’ll see. (wink)
well, that’s really good. i feel for you, sweetie.
