I always get excited to do some business traveling. And I’m usually excited to be in a new place, to change up my routine, to be out of the office. And it lasts for about a day. Then, I get over it really quickly.
Business travel is really weird ~ to fly to a location where your company has business, but everything is only a little familiar when you get there.
And you do most everything alone unless you happen to have a friend in the city. Not that I mind doing things alone. In fact, I like it very much, but I prefer it when I have a choice. ‘Today, I choose to go to the movies by myself.’ or ‘I’m just going to take a little solo hike’. When business traveling, though, it gets a little lonely…
Alright, fine. I’m lonely here in Texas. That’s the truth. I said it. Are you happy?
Only 2 more days ’til I’m back home in my own bed with my purring cat. I can handle it.
Ali, did you get my e-mail? I have about a handful of old e-mail addresses for you, and I’m not sure which one is correct. If you send me an email with the right one, I’ll send you something quite entertaining for a lonely Houston evening. 🙂
