playing catch up…

Poppy So, I’m a little behind in my reporting because of how busy life has been for me lately, but I am finally sitting down to catch y’all up on the most recent goings on…

First, I was in Noises Off again. As you can see, Poppy was alive and well inside of me despite my fears of forgetting how to act or be funny. I was thrilled to be back on a big stage after quite a time away. It’s lucky that Noises Off is such a crowd pleaser because it makes it just a little easier to do eight shows per week when people cry with laughter. There are a few more pictures of the experience here. {warning: Actors’ actions cannot always be explained}

Right as the show closed I also moved into my new condo in Hollywood. The location of my new place is so awesome because it is 12 minutes from work and much closer to where most of my life takes place. There will be no more long drives home after being out with friends. It’s a short cab ride or, even better, a short walk (or stumble, depending on what’s going on). Also, as I have said before, my new place has so much more room than before. It’s divine. Marceau the French cat is adapting quite well and is finally getting used to going outside in the new back yard. And tonight I plan on using the hot tub for the first time to soothe my very tired muscles, which brings me to…

layoutThis weekend we had open houses at all three Southern California S Factor studios where I was a part of all the demos. These demos are such a thrill to perform and to watch, but also take a toll on my muscles and body. My rhomboid muscle (the one right under my right shoulder blade) is totally f&%cked (pardon my language) and my legs have so many bruises that it looks like I’ve been beaten. This is not the normal state my body is in from doing S Factor, it’s just that the pole tricks in a demo are very athletic and we’re doing them choreographed all together. Sometime I hope all of you, my faithful readers, will be able to see one of these awe inspiring dances. The energy in the room full of women celebrating the shape and strength of the female form is just magnificent and delicious. The screaming and the cheering coming from inside the studio rivaled that of a rock concert…

And that is that for now. I am going for a soak in my new hot tub.
