I didn’t take enough pictures (what has happened to me!?) of my trip home for the holiday, but I sure did have a good time…
I arrived on Saturday night and finished my shopping at the great big Arden Fair mall in Sacramento.
Sunday was our family Christmas gathering at my biggest brother’s house. He and his fiance, Joanne have been working hard on remodeling and it is really looking wonderful! He also cooked a yummy dinner.
My nephew Colin is now 14! And I got him the CD “The Very Best of Deep Purple”. This, for the boy who said “Simba” as one of his first words. No more baby. He’s a full-fledged teenager who plays guitar and avoids talking (with his very deep voice I might add).
My other brother was there too, too briefly. And also joining us were Aunt Pam and Uncle Richard.
Christmas Eve day I got a manicure and pedicure. Mmmm. Later, we opened stockings and I fell asleep with an unopened present on my lap. I was surely winding down and finally getting some rest.
On Christmas Day, Mom, Dad and I woke up leisurely, ate some breakfast and headed to the mountains for a 1/2 day of skiing. It was the most gorgeous, clear day and we had a fabulous time! I think a new tradition may have been started, ’cause there were no lines and it was perfect.
When we returned we had some dinner and then opened packages. Fun!
I am now back in LA for a day at work, Akasha’s karaoke birthday tomorrow and then my brother and my other nephew, Forrest will arrive for New Year’s Eve!
Good to be home with my R and my cat.
Here are a series of the few pictures I took:

Yeah family! Yeah skiing! Yeah Ali! Miss you.
You are such a cute snow bunny… 🙂
